Tallinn
Transfer by private car to centrally located Hotel Palace for
two night stay.
 Day 2
Tallinn
Tallinn is the medieval capital of Estonia dating back to
1219. Your guide takes you to the Rocca al Mare open-air museum to see
the characteristic facets of old rural architecture of the regions of
the country. Following this, visit important sites such as Toompea
Castle, Kadriorg Palace, Pirita Sailing Centre and the Old Town with its
13th Century buildings.
Day 3
Tallinn - Tartu
Depart to Lahemaa National Park, famous for its beautiful
nature. Visit Palmse Castle Museum and Sagadi Manor. Continue to Narva
on the Russian border and the Narva Fortress built in the 13th century
under Danish rule. Stop at Kuremae Nunnery, still operating as an
Orthodox convent. In Tartu stay at Hotel Barclay for two nights
 Day 4
Tartu
Tartu, the second city of Estonia, was previously an
important Hanseatic Town and is now an academic center. Your guide will
take you on a walking tour including Dome Hill and its monuments, St.
John Church and its sculptures and the University of Tartu. Later visit
the Agricultural Museum showing the development of local agriculture
through the centuries.
Day 5
Tartu - Otepaa
A full day in south Estonia famous for its folklore. Visit
Kiidjarve working watermill, Taevaskoja sandstone area, Akste ant
colonies with seven foot high ant hills, Voru village, Big Egghill
(highest point in Estonia), Rouge and Sangaste Castle (a copy of Windsor
Castle). Arrive in Otepaa on the shore of beautiful Lake Puhajarv.
Otepaa is a winter skiing center and holiday resort. Overnight at
Hotel Puhajarve.
Day 6
Otepaa - Parnu
To Parnu via Vijandi Castle ruins and Olustvere Manor. Parnu
is a fascinating blend of art deco and onion domes, medieval gates and
Soviet influences. Stay at Hotel
Victoria.
Day 7
Parnu - Tallinn
Drive to Tallinn, permitting a short visit to Old Tallinn
before your transfer to the airport or pier.
