DAY 1 VILNIUS
On arrival, transfer by private car
to the Hotel Congress for your two nights stay. Vilnius was founded in
1323. Visit Old Town, the Cathedral, Gediminas Castle Museum, the
University Campus and the Dawn Gate with its miraculous Virgin Mary icon.
Visit the outdoor European Sculpture Park conveying art as it pertains to
the meaning of being in the geographic center of Europe.
DAY 2 VILNIUS
To Trakai, the ancient capital of
Lithuania, famous for its 15th century castle and exhibition of
prehistoric findings. Back in Vilnius, visit the Exhibition of
Christianity featuring the lost and now first time seen Treasures of the
Vilnius Cathedral.
DAY 3 VILNIUS-KAUNAS
Your chauffeur takes you to Kaunas
today. Stop at Rumsiskes Open-Air Ethnographic Museum for a tour of
the display of 18th and 19th century traditions, crafts and architecture
defining the ethnographic regions of the country. Your guide will
meet you in Kaunas for a city tour. Kaunas is the second city of
Lithuania. Visit the Old Town, Castle ruins, Jesuit Church and
Ciurlionis Art Gallery. Overnight at Hotel Santakos.
DAY 4 KAUNAS-KLAIPEDA
Drive to the Hill of Crosses near
Siauliai known as the place to express gratitude to God for divine favours.
Continue to Klaipeda on the Baltic Sea where you guide shows you the Old
Town, and the Mazvydas Sculpture Park. Two night stay at Hotel
Klaipeda.
DAY 5 KLAIPEDA
A full day of sightseeing in
Neringa, the Spit between the Curonian Lagoon and the sea. The Hill
of Witches in Juodkrante village is decoarted with wooden sculptures based
on legends and folk tales. Nida is an old fisherman village famous
for majestic sand dunes. Return to Klaipeda.
DAY 6 KLAIPEDA-VILNIUS
Visit Palanga, the popular sea
resort. The Amber Museum depicts the history of this "Baltic
Gold" Walk in the Botanical Park with its 70 foot high dune and to
the beach and pier. Later, to Vilnius and Hotel Congress.
DAY 7 VILNIUS
Transfer by private car to the
airport.
