DAY 1 STOCKHOLM-ESKILSTUNA
Depart Stockholm by train to Eskilstuna for a two-night stay at the Comfort Home Hotel Bolinder
Munktell, including a light meal this evening. Eskilstuna has many sights from its industrial heyday, a good example being the Rademacher Forges from the 17th century. .
DAY 2 ESKILSTUNA-OREBRO-ESKILSTUNA
A short train ride this morning to Kungsor where you catch the canal boat for a day cruise on the Hjalmare Canal to
Orebro. The narrow Canal, which construction started in 1637, runs through forests dotted with red wooden cottages and past fields of grazing cattle. Lunch is served onboard and a guide is at your service to explain about what you see along the way. There are nine locks where frequent stops are made. Explore Orebro and its central medieval fortress before returning by evening train to
Eskilstuna.
DAY 3 ESKILSTUNA-MARIEFRED
A short regional train takes you to Laggesta where you change to a vintage train on to
Mariefred. Overnight at the romantic Gripsholm Vardshus Hotel.
DAY 4 MARIEFRED-ST0CKHOLM
Explore Gripsholms Castle before taking the afternoon steamboat back to Stockholm.
