DAY 1 HELSINKI-TURKU
Pick up your rental car and drive east on the King’s Road towards the charming town of Tammisaari with its old wooden town center. Continue to Hanko, the southernmost town in Finland, and on to the coastal scenic road through Kemio to Turku. Your destination is the Ramada Hotel Turku. In Turku visit the medieval castle and cathedral, the unique outdoor crafts museum and the market.
DAY 2 TURKU-TAMPERE
Start the day with a drive to Naantali and visit Moominland and take a walk in the Marina area with its many cafes and restaurants. Head north towards Tampere and visit the 200-year-old Nuutajarvi glassworks on the way. In Tampere
stay at the Scandic Hotel Rosendahl. Tampere, the second largest city in Finland, is delightfully situated between two lakes and has a lot to offer – The Cathedral, the Doll Museum and the Museum of Modern Art. The Pyynikki summer theatre makes for an enjoyable evening.
DAY 3 TAMPERE-HELSINKI
Drive south to Haamenlinna. On the way in Visavouri visit the homes and studios of Emil Wickstrom and Kari Suomalainea, The next stop is the Iittala Glassworks with its museum and crystal shop. In Hameenlinna visit the medieval castle and the Sibelius Museum before your drive back to Helsinki where you return your rental car.
